The beach is ~100 yards from Sandpiper Cover and Shoreline Towers is on the beach - Tower 1 is closer, while Tower 3 sits ~20 yards behind Tower 1. At Sandpiper Cove, you can cut through the parking lot and cross Gulfshore Drive to the beach. All 3 properties have private beach access. You can drive to closer areas to park in each complex to walk to the beach (if you choose not to walk from the unit).

We own the units and can price them at our discretion - there are no tricks. It is true that you are getting your accommodations much less than published rates. Our goal is to offer you a great deal and to keep our units occupied. By keeping the units occupied, we can have discounted vacations.
The 10% tax we charge is Florida's lodging tax. Even though we may "sell" the vacation on the internet, this is a lodging tax instead of sales tax. This does not go to us - BUT to the local area and state. You will have to pay this independent upon where you stay in Destin.
There are several great golf courses in driving distance. You can play free on the par 3 golf course located in the Sandpiper Cove complex as our guest if you stay in this unit.

8. What is the nearest airport and what airlines are there?
Flying into Destin you can use either the Okaloosa County Air Terminal located on Eglin Air Force Base (Ft. Walton Beach), or Pensacola Regional Airport. Okaloosa County Air Terminal is the closer of the two, and offers service from increasing number of airlines.
